What is Wholistic Wellness?

Wait…is it “wholistic” or “holistic?”

This is a great place to start. Honestly, it can be either! The word “holistic” dates back a little farther (really, only by about 4 years) but they mean the same thing. If you NEED a difference in definition, we could say that “wholistic” considers the whole being first, then looks at its parts, whereas “holistic” starts by focusing on the parts first, then how they come together to become whole. Either way we recognize that there are many parts to bring awareness to, in order for the whole being to become completely well.

So what is it?

Well, like I explained above, there are many parts to one, whole, being. This means that YOU are more than just one of your parts and your wellness should be looked at in terms of the WHOLE of you.

We can break down health into 6 categories: physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and nowadays, financial. In order to become wholistically well, we need to take each of those aspects into consideration. The goal of The Nomadic Naturalist is to help you achieve whole wellness (which is your birthright) to its highest potential.

How do can we easily incorporate Wellness in our daily lives?

There are SO many, simple ways to do this! The very first place I recommend starting is by just listening to your body. Our bodies are speaking to us all the time.
